Howdy!

I started Sol-Mar Landscaping to provide a local women-owned landscaping alternative that values its employees and community.

​

Before Sol-Mar came to be you could find me working as a hail insurance representative, a barista, a shipper/receiver, and a property appraiser for BC Assessment (please don’t hold that against me!) among other things.

I grew up with my mother putting me to work in her amazing garden on Quadra Island, and while 6-year-old Mackenzie was not able to appreciate why it was important to deadhead daisies I sure am thankful for it now. I am also so very thankful that I now get my hands dirty each and every day.
